Distinguished Contributions Award
The SIGSIM Distinguished Contributions Award recognizes individuals based on their overall contributions to the field of modeling and simulation, including technical innovations, publications, leadership, teaching, mentoring, and service to the SIGSIM community.
SIGSIM Discrete Event System Specification (DEVS) Student Awards
DEVS Student Award, in recognition of the pioneering work of Prof. Bernard P. Zeigler, whose foundational contributions to the Discrete Event System Specification (DEVS) theory have shaped modern modeling and simulation theory for over five decades. Prof. Zeigler’s vision continues to inspire new generations of researchers and practitioners worldwide. The award is given to the best paper addressing innovative applications or contributions to DEVS accepted for the Winter Simulation Conference with the main author being a student at the time of submission.
PhD Colloquium Award
Best Ph.D. Colloquium Student Paper Award, recognizing significant contributions to computational methods supporting simulation solutions. The paper is selected from student papers accepted for the Winter Simulation Conference and presented also in the PhD Colloquium.
SIGSIM Student Travel Awards
To support the professional development of Ph.D. students working in the field of modeling and simulation, SIGSIM offers travel support for up to 20 students to attend the Winter Simulation Conference (10) and ACM SIGSIM PADS (10).
